Doppler Wind LIDAR Streamline
The worldwide reputated pulsed “Streamline” Doppler Lidar systems from the manufacturer Halo Photonics by Lumibird provide profiles of the backscatter intensity of aerosols and clouds, the Doppler wind components and derived profiles of the horizontal wind speed and wind direction. The eye-safe systems feature a compact, lightweight design that allows for quick and easy setup. The scanner unit enables complex scan patterns in the upper hemisphere (AllSky), or within a cone angle of 19° (Profiler VS). Metek complements these systems with in-house developed routines for calculating the vertical wind profiles, for building up to three virtual wind masts and for displaying the output data using the proven Metek Graphics software.
The BEAM6x Windpower combines proven measurement technology with modern laser components for wind energy applications. Its compact design and low weight make it suitable even for rugged terrain.
