METEK GmbH opened a 100 % subsidiary METEK Nordic ApS to accumulate market activities in northern European countries and to enhance market visibility in wind energy markets. The Nordic countries include Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
1/9-2019 Poul Hummelshøj joined METEK as Manager of the newly started company METEK Nordic ApS which is located at DTU Campus Risø, in Roskilde, Denmark.
Poul comes from a position as Head of Section of Test & Measurement at DTU Wind Energy, Technical University of Denmark. He held this position for 14 years and was among other things responsible for the wind turbine prototype Test Centers at Høvsøre and Østerild. Furthermore, he was responsible for the technical implementation of the DTU scanning lidars called WindScanners.
From 1999 to 2005 Poul was Manager of MetSupport ApS and before that in the 90’s Senior Scientist at Risø National Laboratory within Atmospheric Science working with flux measurement techniques and exchange of pollution, aerosols and climate gasses between the atmospheric surface layer and the underlying planet earth.
