Challenging installation of uSonic-3 sensors on a 180 m mast

Eight uSonic-3 sensors of type “Scientific” were installed in heights up to 180 m on one of the tallest masts within Scandinavia by time and cost saving helicopter operation.
Metek provides a family of well proven uSonic-3 sensors for 3-dimensional operational wind measurements in harsh environments and in extreme climates.With this the uSonic-3 fits perfectly to the requirements often found at northern Scandinavian sites. An extraordinary installation has recently been installed by Meventus ApS, Danmark, an international specialist in wind measurement, siting and assets management.
